The Americana Hotel was a great place to stay. The staff was very helpful. We would stay there again. Don't take a car unless you really need one though, as the Washington area is not much fun to drive in! Use the Metro if you can.

This was one of the worst experiences. Oriental women at the checkout desk didn't understand English. She was also rude and very had negative attitude towards guests. She concentrated on flirting with one of the guests instead of on doing a good job. Up until this stay I had very positive experience with Mr. Larry Curtis at the front desk. He is very professional, helpful and just extremely nice.

Great! hotel experience. Staff very helpful. Each evening they shuttled us to a resturant and then picked us up when we called. 5 star service!!! the hotel is only a short walk to the metro. We will definitely stay at the Americana on our next trip to D.C. The ONLY negative was wireless access. Had to go to lobby or end of hall to get signal. But they did have a desk at end of hall to use.
